Default Data Loggers

I want to add a data logger system during the off season
I was looking at the MaxQData & TraQMate systems.

What are you guys using? Pros & Cons? Post pictures of your hardware setup if possible...

TIA.

If you get a G2X, you can swap data files with stephan and myself.

Thx Ryan, G2X looks pretty good. Was it easy to install?

About 3 minutes. But it is near impossible to get a tach signal because 997 runs a CAN bus. I tried, but only get an inconsistant signal with their cable being attached around a plug wire

I use the traqmate. I think it is great. My friends have this system as well. It is important to have the same as your friends as you can compare laps and really work on specific turns and track sections.

Many systems will work....but it is important to me to be able to swap data.

A well known shop in the BMW world is having a pretty decent sale.

http://www.vtmotorsport.com/index.as...ROD&ProdID=234

"Now receive an extra 15% off of Racepak G2Extreme data acquisition kits until 12/31/07. Use the g2x15 code during checkout to receive 15% off. "

At approx $800, that's the cheapest Ive ever seen it available.

Cheers,
Mark

I would really like to get steering, throttle, brake and revs as well as the usual GPS derived channels.

Is there any way on a 997 to get this from the ODB or Can bus?

All that data is in the car somewhere - is there a good solution out there?

Got a traqmate here, love it. Can tie in throttle, brake and revs. Unit does a pretty decent job of guessing throttle and brake application based on g's.
