I raised the seat up and looked as far under as I could without removing the seat and I see a few black plastic parts that are similar to what I found, but nothing that seems to be missing. I also noted the black pieces in the seat all have a part number sticker whereas this thing does not.

I also checked the rear storage lid, the seat belt receptacle and nothing looks like it. I think Dave is probably right in that it's from someone's helmet. I've already been to the track twice and it seems this is the car everyone wants to go for a ride in; I've probably had at least 10 passengers with helmets in the car and who knows what flies or falls off.
