Tirerack doesn't list any GT3 sizes on the Corsa, but does for the Corsa System. Are those of you giving feedback on Pirellis running Corsa or Corsa System?

For all rounder, street, wet/dry , occasional track days...I think the CORSA serves the best package.

The new Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric may prove a better all round street and occasional track tire than PS2s.

Autocar stated, "With a set of Goodyears, it was like attaching a turbo to the Mercedes' engine.\"In North America, the Eagle F1 Asymmetric will be offered in 22 sizes, in 17, 18, 19 and 20 inch wheel diameters. These tire sizes will fit cars such as the BMW 550I, Porsche 911 Carrera and Mercedes CLK55 AMG

Spent last weekend at VIR w/OE Michelin "PSCs". Huge lack of grip suggested that the PSCs had been heat cycled (~700 track miles) into uselessness!

I plan to replace all four tires with DOT Hoosiers next spring.

I think the official Porsche fit are Pirelli P-Zero Corsa N0, developed specifically for the 997GT3.

I was told - "Similar characteristics to MPSCs but a bit more suited to road use". Is this correct?

Sry wasnt clear, it's Corsa System Asymmetrico.

The plain CORSA is limited in sizes and definitely not available for cars with fat tires.

and the Corsa System comes in Direzionale and Asimmetrico for front n rear fitment respectively.
i think it's a brilliant design as the front grooves design allows for a much reduced aquaplaning.

From past experience with Pirellis, they grip great but wear horribly.

BTW, Looking at the Pirelli website tonight, it appears the new Pirelli P-Zero is now available in GT3 sizes.

Hummm,

IMO Corsa system is vastly superior to P-Zero for a combo track/street tire. Also P-Zero's are super noisy....at least they were on my 996TT.

Thanks Triple, that's what I figured, but nice to have confirmation.

Enjoy some chili crab for me this weekend.... the biggest eating day in the US, thanksgiving, is coming up in a couple days (as if we're not fat enough), and I would gladly trade a slab of dry turkey for chili crab!!

So where can we buy them?

I've had very good wear from PS2's. They even worked VERY well on the track. I placed my rear PS2's at 16K with some tread left only because they had been through too many heat cycles on the track (about 3500). The Pilot Cup's are great for summer mixed track and street. Fresh - they are great in the rain, but not with any amount of wear and the cups do not deal with HEAVY rain well at all. I think Seattle gets a fair amount of rain no?

Keep in mind that the soft compound tires such as the Cups do not like the cold much.

Technically, the PS2's are a summer tire and are not intended for very cold freezing weather, but I've used them throughout the winter - but not in the snow. They are hard when very cold, but after a few miles they are fine.

If these tires are just for the street - get the PS2's.
