Dunno about this email. Certainly does NOT seem exciting.

Xxxxx Xxxxxx,

Clarity Research, a professional market research company, will be conducting a
research study in Stamford the weekend of November 16-18.

Participants will be evaluating and discussing various communication and
marketing materials to be used in the launch campaign for Porsche Cars North
America. Porsche is highly interested in your opinion, which will then
considerably influence the marketing campaign.

The project will take about 2 1/2 hours and you will receive $200 if you qualify
and participate. You will never be contacted for sales purposes as a result of
your participation.

Please call xxx-xxx-xxxx We are scheduling appointments on a "first come,
first served" basis. We are confident that you will enjoy this exciting
experience!

Thank You

xxx xxxxx

It's a two hour drive each way.
I just picked up my mail and found a postcard with exactly the same thing on it, almost. The postcard is only offering $150.00 for the same survey.
Maybe the $200.00 in the email is because I am a GT3 RS owner and the $150.00 postcard is addressing me as a C2 S owner because the postcard address starts 2007 911 Carrera S folowed by my name.
How bout I call them once for each car and collect $350.00?

I've done a few of those. I wouldn't drive more than 20 minutes to attend one. The last one I did was regarding Porsche's website and was a complete waste of time. They wanted to add an owner section so you could post pics of your car, etc. They had us critique the owner sections of BMW & MB's websites. Even the posers in the room laughed at the idea of what Porsche thought it's owners wanted to do. I asked who would be dumb enought to talk about mods & DE's on their forum and thereby void your own warranty.

I also did one years back for the launch of the Cayenne. There are tons of P-cars in this area, but most of the people there were women in their 50's that test drove a Mercedes once and ride the bus to work. They came to the brilliant conclusion that Porsche should drop sports car racing and switch to F1 and also build Cayenne race cars and 911's with more room for dogs. I couldn't wait to leave that one...
