Two inputs on the Pirellis: 1. I drove a new RS from NYC to Watkins Glen for a track event. Didn't track the RS but on the way home there were 4-5 hours of heavy rain (the kind where you have no visibility passing a semi) and the Pirellis worked great. Never gave any hesitation or insecurity. I wasn't expecting that. 2. Several months later was back at the Glen for a track event and this time tracked the RS (post break in but stock). Put in 4+ hours at speed in one day. While the performance didn't match another RS with slicks and suspension mods, it was a fantastic track experience and a lot of fun.

I've had both and I think the Pirelli's stick better in the dry too. I did not get the first set of Pirelli's shaved and went to VIR in 100 degree weather and cooked the tires. THey started throwing off small chunks of rubber and they turned kind of blue. That's when I learned you're supposed to get them shaved for dry use. Also the Pirelli's are asymetrical so if you're running clockwise all the time on track you will wear out the left side first as opposed to the MPSC that can be rotated. Once I got a nail in the left rear tire and there were no left rear tires to be had. I am back to MPSC but will say I like the Pirelli's better.

I understand that the MPSC cannot be rotated. Can you?

Sorry. I've meant to say Pzero System not the Corsa System. Oh, these Pirelli designations and derivaties are confusing. Michelins are simple with only two variations (Ok, there is also the "neutered PSC).
