New GT2 Seats

One thing that's hard to tell from the pictures: The front cushion is velcro'd like the GT3 seats so you can pull it up and run sub belts through, right? If so, add one more to the list.

I too was wondering about the anti-sub belt mounting. The Autoblog article talks about "4 point belts" ? Must pull through the cushions.
Anybody hear word on availibility? My local parts counter said next spring!

Porsche rep at LA Auto Show told me they should be available next spring.

Bringing back this old thread - I think I counted a dozen of us for a group buy for GT2 seats... Spring is only a couple of months away - anyone have contacts at a RL friendly dealership / parts supplier?

yep there were about 12 I think; I believe though that the seats wont be price listed until July or so and will probably be (guesswork only) around 4000euro ea. Which probably puts them firmly in the CS CF bucket ballpark

imo p made mistake with these seats. much more important to have adjustable seatback recline than fold foward to get to rear luggage space. how do you know if youd be comfortable unless you tried them in a car 1st?

My 2 cents.......
I sat in the GT2 seats (in the black Cayman) several times at Rennsport. I found them to be a meaningful improvement over my GT3 seats. Slightly more padding, esp. lower back support and most important they have more shoulder room/spread - I'm 6'1"' & 190#s. Also slightly easier to get in and out of. The bottom bolster is split in the same location as the GT3 seat and has the opening in the shell for the sub belts. I tried to see if a sub belt bar was in place or not, but no luck. I didn't bother asking the cute blond standing with the car.
I could easily live with them year round. I swap out my GT3s for the sport seats for the winter as my car is a daily driver (bun warmers).
BTW they were not as upright as the GT3 seats, hence more better...
