mine was the storage lid of the driver's door. I would flip it up to keep it from creaking. In my TT I developed one in the passenger side dash. It was something ticking/creaking around the airbag of the passenger side. The tech R&R'd it and it went away, though he never was able to identify the culprit

My RS has a very annoying buzz in the passenger door whenever the rpm is at 3000 rpm. plus the one push up on that window works funny. you have to wait till the window goes up half way before you can release, and then the window goes up by itself. I saw another RS at the track this weekend and it was produced about same time as mine, in May. It made the same exact noise at 3000rpm and the passenger window also won't go up by itself until it is half way up. I wonder it the factory did this on purpose!

The passenger window behavior is normal (albeit stupid...)
I don't understand why Porsche can't make a buzz-free car. Other manufacturers do it so it CAN be done. Mine has so many buzzes and resonances that it feels like a jalopy.

My RS' interior buzzes all over. Instruments, both doors, seat belt housings, and console. The dealer fixed all the noises in my 996 GT3, so I'll let them have at it when first service rolls around. Problem is localizing the noises because they're everywhere!

My 964 Turbo and 993 Turbo had no buzzes or rattles. The GT3 has a ton of buzzes, but most likely due to the harder motor mounts. There is significantly more NVH in this car than any other Porsche I've owned, but it's also the car with the least slack in the drivetrain... tradeoffs, tradeoffs...

I have this same issue. I was considering adding a little bulk to the rubber stop (maybe a few pieces of electrical tape) but was wondering if anybody had discovered another fix.

My interior door handle on my 997 C2S vibrated as well. I added some Gorilla tape on top of the rubber stop and it stopped vibrating. The rubber stop apparently becomes depressed over time. The proper fix is to replace the rubber stop with a new one, I suppose, but if you are OK with adding some tape, it works just the same and you don't see it unless you lift the door lever.

Thanks for reviving this 2007 thread .... since mine has the door handle buzz at exactly 3k rpm too (only on the drivers side tho)
.... although mine seems to only really do it during my warmup timeframe. I usually just try to avoid 3k while the oil is warming up
I'll look for the little rubber stop & see about putting a small piece (or 2) of gorilla tape on the tip of it.

so far, I'm 1 of 3, but in reading this thread it looks pretty common
I wish the cloth door pulls were an easy change

My passenger side has the rattle too. But as others have said it seems to be more during warm up. Either that or I forget about it once the oil is warm and I start driving. Then all I hear is my center bypass.
