It'd still be good to know, does FVD sell OEM parts or are they 3rd party parts?
And thanks for the tip on Pelican, but having a hard time finding items for a GT3, tips appreciated.

from the website it looks like the motorsport part (although I could be wrong) I dont think there is much of a market for a cup car splitter from a 3rd party.

the FVD catalog part number is 997-505-983-91 this looks like a factory 'body' part # so I believe that at least the FVD part is an OEM motorsport component

that would be the USA version without the air ducts (997-505-983-90)?; if you have PCCB's or even dont, I think the euro version with the ducts vents more air to the front rotors part # -91's ...

Ok, I'm not that smart but still, got the new lip, have the proper torx tool and the car's front wheel elevated enough to get the tool in... the normal rules or righty-tighty, lefty-loosy don't seem to apply to those screws.
Reversing that does nothing either. Are these positional pull-out screws? They don't appear to be.
Am I dealing with stripped screws, or what is the trick to getting that thing off?

Well, got to the other side and that one didn't even have a screw on - but the skirt is still not going anywhere. So started taking out the screws for the next plate underneath, maybe that needs to be removed first? And would that be it or is there more coming?

...ok then.
I have the 9 screws off from the smaller front plate, not that the thing wants to go anywhere anyway.
The lip, well there is still no screw on the right side because there wasn't one there to begin with, and I still can't get the one on the drivers side to do anything other than turn freely.
Neither the lip nor the plate are moving. Surely the next step is not the bumper, right?
I have a garage with AC and lots of tools, a stereo and most important a stocked beer fridge. And the night is still young.
Any tips really appreciated though!

Only two torx screws one on each end. If the one won't loosen, try taking a plier and just pull it down. They are just plastic screws anyways.
Alternatively, try not to put pressure on the screw as you loosen. Putting pressure just pushes it back in. Once you get enough thread to grab on with a plier, pull down as you losen.
The next part is tricky...The lip is now held in place with tabs. People say just pull it straight out. I haven't tried it myself yet.

Got it, will put the other 9 screws back.
Can't figure out how to pull the lip though - it does not want to budge at all either pulling downwards or towards the outside - any idea of how much force is needed here?
It almost seems that one needs to get iside it to push the tabs down while pulling.
Would really appreciate hearing from someone who has done this first hand.

I once smashed the splitter on my car so hard against a kerb that I was sure I'd destroyed the whole bumper. But an inspection showed that the splitter had been folded down under the bumper, amazingly with no damage other than some scrapes on the splitter itself. So whatever holds that sucker in place is tough as nails.

There are two plastic screws on the ends of the bumper. Pull (or screw) those out. Then the lip then just pulls away from the car on a horizontal plane. Just pull hard and it will come undone. To reinstall, just reverse the process.
