Michelin needs a GT3 RS for its SEMA display... anyone?
Just got a call from a friend in the motorsport side and Michelin would like to have a 997 GT3 RS for its SEMA stand. Porsche cannot provide one due to scheduling conflicts (Rennsport Reunion III).
No color preference, but they'll need a pristine, stock (appearing) car. I am told they'll handle all transport and ensure the car's safety, etc. Dates of the show are Oct. 26—Nov. 2, and they'll use Intercity (I asked), probably picking up just before the show and dropping it off right after.
I suspect they might be willing to pay a rental fee, or you might bargain for some PSCs, PS2s, etc. That's up to you. Or, for the right shop (Alex?), this might be a nice connection to make with top people at Michelin USA.
BTW, I have NO afiliation with Michelin whatsoever. I think they called me b/c they thought I could put them in touch with the right peeps -- and I can't think of a more avid, more populous group of RS owners than this one.
If you're interested, PM me and I'll put you in touch with them directly.
Somehow, I don't think I'll be getting too many PMs, but one never knows.
Thanks,
pete

I'll let them use my Guards Red loaded GT3 with deviated red stitching, carbon fiber packages, and factory Guards Red painted wheels. Oh, and it does have MPSC tires on it too!

Wow, hard to believe P can't come up with a solution considering their relationship. Considering they're looking for a pristine car that guy probably won't need tires anyway. They should be able to work something out.

SEMA Show
Pete,
I have a orange GT3RS with ceramic brakes, full leather, but with Pirelli tires. Live in Oshkosh WI. Would be willing to send car down if I could get a free set of Michelins.
Give me a number I can call. My home email is dbrescia@new.rr.com.
Thanks!

Wow, lot of love for Michelin(s) here. 3-4 responses, but I think the first one was accepted.
Of course, if something falls through, I'll let them know that there are 2-3 more of you willing to consider helping Michelin out and forward that info on a first-come, first-help basis.
Thanks again, I am VERY impressed by this community, once again.
