Default Brake Part # needed

So I guess I was driving too fast at the track 2 weeks ago Both my left and right side brake cooling fins came off. Dealership can't find the part #'s in the catalog. They have a call into Porsche AG, but still haven't heard anything back after 2 weeks! If someone has their car jacked up or an a lift, and could grab the part # off it, would be greatly appreciated. It is the semi-hard rubber piece which sits in front of the front wheel well (both left and right side) and hangs down by about 3 inches below the undercarriage. Only attaches by 3-4 rubber tabs (no screws) on the part.

Thanks

These are the GT3 RS parts, which might be really nice if you are on-track:

(no affiliation with Suncoast Porsche - just a satisfied customer)

The Standard 997 GT has parts similar to those closer to the wheel (I still have those) ... it's the ones further up I'm missing, but thanks.

I have those on my car too, but my dealer said they were from a 996 turbo... they fit, they are larger, but I have scraped away much of the bottom of those on the track... they hang very low on a 997 GT3

Those are the same ones found on a GT3 too. I know because I too tore one off. Luckily I found it on the track as they are very expensive for a cheap plastic piece.

Actually, those shown in the link are bigger then the ones that come stock on the 997 GT3's that I have seen. (Which are more than 6 different 997 GT3's)

Many of us have upgraded to the larger ones to cool our brakes better.

You might be looking for 997 341 483 92 (Left) and 997 341 484 02 (Right), but these parts are easily located on page 63 of the USA GT3 Katalog. Have your dealer take a look and see if those are what you are looking for.

Thanks Lawjdc, but I actually need a different part. The one I need hangs further towards the front of the car, and is a softer plastic. Would have expected it on page 120 hanging off the front underbody lining.

Is there any reason those cheesy plastic parts cost 300 bucks? What a rip!

The RS ones are 250 bucks! Just a little bigger than the stock GT3 ones. See above for link.

Not the USA versions I have seen, the RS guys I know turned me on to this modification for the larger 996 version.

Geez Ryan, now I've got to get under the car and see if I still have mine intact.
