I like both for different reasons, the .1 is more eager to rev through the range and loves the upper band (cargraphic headers, 200cell cats, side delete, stock center, 4.0 dundon air box. The .2 with its additional torque it just tears up the entire rpm range on demand(evom headers, 200cell cats, sw bypass)
I am torn between the looks of the .1 (in silver) and the .2 overall. If the .1 was any other color besides silver I would keep the .1 looks, with that said the .1 is going through a .2 update saga with all oem parts.
I picked up a 1-owner 2,000 mile very low option .2RS. It was dropped off last night at my home in Vail, CO. It worked out great as I have just sold this home and building a shop and new home, so I will get a chance to drive cars one at a time to storage.
I drove around 350 miles and tons of fun. My first new Porsche was a '93 RSA, but that lasted one year (RIP). And I have been driving turbo cars since 1993 ('91 Turbo/'01 Turbo/'03 GT2/'07 Turbo/'08 GT2/'09 GT2/'11 GT2RS). I still own most of these cars now.
The .2GT3RS is a lot easier and more fun to drive. I eat humble pie now as the power is just fine. I never looked at these before because of power. (I am not a PDK guy, so I will stick with the old cars)
Many thanks to the King of RS Mooty, and ilko with great information.
Congrats! the .2RS are keepers for life and they are few and far between these days...

Couple of photos from a local Porsche & Coffee by the bay hosted by RSR Garage in Melbourne - by accident we actually have a nice evolution of 911 from early 70s, G, 964, 993, 996 & 997 in one photo
