Default Weighed the car

Factory RS roll bar and 3/4 tank of gas = 3260 lbs. That seems really high to me. Sounds right compared to specs but it seems high when I think about purpose built road cars. My friends maxima weighs 80 lbs more!! WTF.

I think the RS roll bar is about 45lbs & don't worry about your friend's maxima he doesn't have a dry sump motor with 415hp.

Lot of unanswered questions in that post.
Is your car a Euro or US version?
US cars have an extra aluminum bumber extension and the US cars have the heavier seats the Euro cars dont have and then by adding a 45 lb roll bar your making the car even fatter.

I just got a copy of Car and Driver. The Gallardo Superleggera weighed almost 3,500 lbs. How can the Italians call that car the SuperLight?

The sticker price on the tested Lambo ($15,000 lighter Ceramic brakes included) was close to $250k. For an extra $60k over the regular Gallardo, you get 11 Hp and less than 130 lbs weight saving.

The Italians are learning a lot from Porsche. Pay a lot more for a little bit less.

I thought the G was suppose to weight 3k? Guess not.

G-SL at the local dealer is closer to 300k with about 60k in bling bling options. Almost 6k just for that rear wing. And I though the price of Porche options was high...

They're referring to your wallet after purchase

Somehow that got into the press, but there was no way that could have been possible when starting with a 3,6XX lb car.

I weighed at RRR this weekend. 3226 with full clubsport package, including the giant weiner bottle and 3/4 tank.

That would put your RS around 3,143 lbs with no fuel.

I assume your car doesn't have PCCB. Otherwise the weight number seems high (by around 40 lbs).

A full ClubSport package including the Carbon $$$ seats, RS roll bar without front members, and the bulky bottle should leave the weight around the same number as stock (U.S. stock).

John,

Your car's weight is right on the spot.

3134 lbs - 42 lbs on fuel + 48 lbs for the stock seats (compared to the leather 996 GT3 Race seats)

3,140 lbs with no fuel.

Mooty - your car and mine have almost the same setup
996gt3 seats
Euro RS rollbar
PCCBs

so by your math mine should weigh 3,134 - 42 (PCCB vs steel savings) = 3,092 lbs???
