Default Green 2007 GT3 RS

I have dibs on a car that was about $140k MSRP, what do you think it is worth today? Less then 200 miles on it. I love the green but paying over list is killing me. How much over is still considered a good deal?? This would be the first time paying over MSRP for me EVER but that green is looking better everyday.

Zero over would be nice.
you got orange, just drive the **** out of that one. then repaint it green.
that's my plan.

30K over would be fair, anything less would be a deal. Mind you, they are going for over 30 in certain places.

You like green more than orange?

I'm not sure if equilibrium has been achieved yet on RS pricing. Clearly the values have been dropping on average. Many places you could (can) buy a used one at list. The early (have to have one) days of paying $50k over are gone. Down to half that for a new one perhaps. Used, list should be fair in today's declining economy and market. Tomorrow, who knows how much off list... If you are trying to negotiate, just point the owner to what's happening in this country with respect to anything economic, the number of "hot" cars that are on the market (compared with almost none not too long ago), etc.

Remember, it's just a car, something that you can still put in an order for (08 or 09 -- my dealer offered me MSRP on their next allocation, so I might put in a deposit for a 2009 Mark 2 DFI RS).

You are on the money IMO. In a couple of months MSRP will be the ticket and some kilobucks off for used of any type.

Right now there are at least 7 2008 GT3 RSs at dealers, who are asking/wishing in the neighborhood of MSRP+$50k

http://www.gt3rsregistry.com/VINs.htm#2008

Recent eBay auctions for 2007 cars have ended at prices around $145k. Usually the seller is looking for more than that, so they don't sell.

I'm looking for one at MSRP + $0, and with no PCM or chrono.
current premiums should be $10k or so. Certainly no more than that.

In my recent quest for a brand new RS, I got a phone call yesterday for a Black RS with A/C, no PCCB, full leather, navi... MSRP. I don't like it Black, my preference is Green or Orange.

Patience is the key (as always).

Got the PM.

There is a Silver one less than $2k over MSRP at the other forum. Highly optioned car with $143k sticker.

In Newport Beach, CA GT3s are still getting 15-20K over MSRP and GT3 RS's 20k-30K over MSRP.
