Default to RS guys with the Werner Fire bottle...

could you please post a pic or two of how it is mounted and of the mount hardware itself without the bottle in place? I am having a bit of a time trying to configure this without pics and it seems to not have come with any mounting hardware...just the bottle in its bracket.

any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

nice interior...(steering wheel on the wrong side, though)...can you take a shot with the bottle off so I can see the mount underneath?

thanks

I moved the bottle off to the left - you can see the 2 straps that hold the bottle on the mount (silver) - this what you need?

Maybe is a question of personal taste but if you guys usually drive with a partner sitting next to you, for safety reasons you should have the bottle mounted 180º on the opposite - so the trigger fits under the recaro seat (specially if you have a co-pilot with high heels

It is bolted directly to the console--be careful of cooling lines that run through this area! But it keeps it accessable yet out of the way. Sorry no pics available of the mounting bracket only.

Can I use these pics for an install guide? I just put 2 in stock and am sure my customers will be asking!

these pictures point out most clearly what a bloody nuisance this bottle is.

Look at what happens when somebody sits in a car seat - ther is a huge 'free' area under their thighs and legs, mounting the bottle transversely in this area is a good option, as is somewhere in the rear. Have a look at how some of the WRC cars are set up.

after hefting the weight of this red bomb around a few times and going through the expense of getting weight out of the car; I have come to the conclusion that I will go with the Shark Werks smaller/lighter fire bottle system and keep the Bomb only for completion of package purposes.

Can anybody tell me where to drill the 2 wholes in the floor exactly ?
(if Porsche does it for you, they direct it like V12man has done. Meaning: with the 'grip' facing front and not "passenger high heel safe" the other way)

iVo wait a couple of days and I ll send you pics I have no access to the car now.

Also the clubsports have two precuts in the carpet and two spacers added to bring the mounting point up to level with the carpet and insulation.

Even if your car is not a clubsport and because it's a RoW version are you sure it doesn't have the halls drilled already? Did you lift the carpet.

why not use the factory fire extinguisher which mounts to the front edge of the seat? Tidy and no rattles!
