@ Bob: I thought the Werner fire extinguisher (as shown in top of this thread) is what comes standard from Porsche Motorsport

 

It is Bob probably means the regular "civilian" Porsche f.e not the clubsport one.

 

Good call. I hated the giant weiner bottle in my 1st RS. Felt like I had a passenger all the time.

 

Here is mine, I can reach it no problem and allows me to participate in open passing sessions.

The Werner bottle is chit.

Nobody will recharge them in USA. They are oversized and and a pain to mount in the concours location.
Not to mention the chemical will warrant your car useless if used. It will eat your electronics.

I painstakenly tried to have it recharged, and when i finally did have a chance the nozzle portion cracked off..... Just a really bad design.

The 991 clubsport finally have a smaller size bottle, however it wouldnt be period correct in a 997 clubsport if going for conours....

 

OEM 997.1 "civilian" mount. 100% unobtrusive.
