After driving both a PASM car and a car with a traditional, purely mechanical, suspension I must say I prefer the latter.

Discussions with you and Bruce earlier this spring pushed me towards the 996.

I've used Farnbacher and they are a first rate outfit. Kip is great.

I'm suprised to hear that there is negative on them on other boards. I didn't find any when I researched them before having them work on my car. Could you tell me which boards so I can read that feedback?

What I found was on 6speedonline.com. But I'm very happy to hear that so many others have not had a bad experience.

Keith won't sell a car until he's poured a lot of money into it. Helps keep the economy humming along.

This is in no way a dig on FBL (they have a reallllly nice shop -- it is a major upgrade from the Speedsport Tuning days) but I don't think there is really anything unique about what they do, not anything that would have me shipping my car across the border to CT. There are plenty of shops in Canada that are equally qualified to install some cup car bits, 964RS LWF and off-the-shelf REVO software.

What kind of power upgrade are you speaking of? HP increase?

I use them and find Kip to be very knowledgeable and I believe the shop does first class work. I agree they have become busy, Kip is on the phone constantly but he has always found time to return my calls. If there is a negative I guess it may be their pricing seems to be getting up there.

I've had a great experience with them, and they really know how to setup our cars properly.
Initially, Ive had different views of what needed to be done, but guess what, they were right and I was wrong.
Later, I decided to try a different tire size, and guess what?, Kip was right, the car was a nightmare to drive..They were right again.
Bottom line: Trust them they know what they are doing. Just be honest about your driving skill/level.

Its nothing too significant. They take it up to 450 with ECU and Exhaust.

They have a very well equiped shop. They do excellent work as well, little things like leaning your wheels on the wall rather than putting them flat on the ground to avoid scapping the rims, tell me they care about your car and their work. Sure they are a little more money but when you are dealing with the kinds of car we have, you want it done right. The only negative is that Spencer *** has left. He is the one who is the brains behind things. Kip is very good as well but Spencer is the man. I have seen their exhaust, I don't know how much more power it makes but it is definitely lighter than stock. It has one catalytic converter instead of two. Trouble with dynos on these cars is that you never know what the impact of real world driving is going to be, especially with the hoops on the engine cover to feed cool air in at speed. Nothing works but everything helps I suppose and Dino Loles has been quite successful so that says something. Good luck with your conversion and keep us posted on your results.
