I have searched high and low for a decent ball cap with the GT3 logo-- cant find it. So having done some hats for my sons football team when they won the state championship with a local embrodiery shop I am going to do this again.
John D may have an issue with this but I dont plan on making anything. I just want a decent hat for a decent price. I love flex fit hats. they look like fitted and I like the look. I will try to get the pro baseball look not the laid back no form hat.
What I am thinking is simple for GT3 guys a simple hat with the simple GT3 script he script will be built up and buldging.
depending on what she lets me order in color- if I have to stay with one color then black/dk blu with white GT3 script. If she lets me go crazy with colors then I want a cobalt blu hat with silver GT3 script then you guys can get white with black GT3 script or Red with black or Yellow with black etc.
For RS's if I cant get color then a black/dk blu hat with with RS script. thats all.
IF I can get color then I would like an orange hat with black RS/black with orange script. Green with black script. Grey with a orange script BUT I dont
know how that will look-If I had a silver orange I might buy an orange with black RS script.
Price hats- were $11-12 without sewing so I am thinking I can get these for $15 each with $5 shipping. A typical hat like this is $22-29 not including shipping,
so I think we can get a decent hat for a decent price. I dont know how the final stuff will play out and there is a chance I end up with a buck a hat in my pocket,
which I will just use to cover gas to go back and forth from UPS.
If that bothers you then dont order one. Certainly not going to get rich
off of 20-30 hats.
I can probably order a one off for $30 but would rather do this with everyone.
I figure I need 20 hats to get this price. but will firm up later today

Havent seen it. I might have mentioned it before. But I spent some more time looking this weekend
and nada.

 

Looks like I underestimated abit on the hat cost its $15 plus tax and then shipping
at least the $15 includes script and can be any color we want within reason I.E. I dont
think we can get Mexico blue-however orange and yellow and green will be available
let me know whos in what color and RS or GT3
I NEED 24 hats sales to get the price We are talking about.
I am going L/XL for a one size fits all-IF you have a very small head
(which would be a rarity in our community) let me know I might not have
an option.
This may end up in the $22 range including shipping. I dont want a cent just break even.

it is a great idea there just arent anything out there for us to get.
THere are over the top hats but I want a simple design to reflect what we drive
and when we take off our helmets we have cover!!

However the letters GT3 are not-we will make up our own and you will not be dissapointed.
It WONT be just block but moving script that will make you a proud owner.

can they send you a rendering that we can comment on? and let's say you are "giving them away for donations for the, 'those without RS's charity' "...can you then use the official font?

 

No Leif if we get anywhere near Porsche script then they get huffy. It will look great and no one will know
but I will have a rendering by tomorrow.

I went through this exercise a while back and got the following email from the Porsche Licensing Dept.:

Dear Mr. ----,

Thank you for your request for a license to produce baseball caps with the GT3 and GT3RS trademarks. After final review of your proposal, Porsche Cars North America declines to grant you such authorization. Our refusal is based upon our internal policy regarding protection of the Porsche trademarks and limited use of such trademarks by third parties.

Please note that any unauthorized use of any Porsche trademarks and trade dress on merchandise and/or displays, advertisements, the Internet, etc. including any replication or photographs of any Porsche models, would constitute a violation of Porsche trademark and trade dress rights.

I decided to give up the idea, but if you can get away with it I would certainly like a Black cap with White lettering for the GT3. I think you may not make a buck a cap and hope you don't wind up in the red. My source came up with a price of +/- $30 once you add in the shipping.

I have also added an attachment of the GT3 and GT3 RS, which I think is correct. Hope this helps and best of luck with the project.

Normank You are correct we cant do the GT3 RS or GT3 in Porsche script
I had to change it to not match the Porsche logos. The letters them selves are not copyrighted.
There will be no other reference to Porsche In fact Mine is for Gran turismo 3 as I am a huge fan.
Also Only RS will be used and not the trade mark GT3 RS. RS stands for my Kia Rally sport. It has nothing to do with the GT3. So email me at paulgt3 if you are interested in being a Sony fan or a Kia fan.
