Wow, that response took a long time! Sorry, but what is the inside joke here? Did this happen to Danica or recently to you? Or is this just the norm of racing an oval?

I have driven that fast in a straight line; and if you have the right car, conditions, and hopefully a lack of cross winds if there are little "air bumps" in the road, then it really is not very difficult. However, I have never driven on an oval, and I have no idea how it would feel at speed. The closest I've driven to a steeply banked oval is on some of the slightly banked turns on the Autobahn, again not too difficult.

Do you really think that? Sabine is a ring specialist driving a taxi at 8/10's for tourists with no competition, where Danica is a professional open wheel racer on various tracks in multiple countries, ovals, road courses and street courses. Nothing against Sabine, but Danica is in a totally different league and far superior with a racing resume to back it up.

Errr well YES! ... I think you probably need to do a little more studying up on Sabine's racing experience. She ring taxi's in her spare time, and has AFIAK a pretty fair racing resume of her own ... albeit not in open wheel AFIAK.

(oh I feel an unwarranted rant coming on ...)

and frankly despite being pretty hot ... danica's "Maroboro Redneck Racing" resume does litte for me ...

I had a slot car oval as a present one xmas as a child and I got bored with it after 30 mintues of always turning left ... nuff said! yehaa ... where's my chewin tabaccy and my goofty lookin hat with metal and feather **** on it???

but she does have a cute *** ...

I'm not a roundy round ran either, but in watching the Indy league after the unification with Champ Car, I can honestly say that Danica is better than 2/3 of the racers in that new league.

I always associated redneck with NASCAR not open wheel cars, but to each his own. All I know is that Danica races against great drivers from all over the world, not just the US, every week and is now starting to get the results on the podium with an oval win and a 2nd on a street course.

You can't convince everyone, and whatever you do there will always be critics. Hell, I'm always trying to defend and make the case for Michael Schumacher, a 7 time Formula 1 World Champion. If one can be critical of him, it doesn't matter what you do, you'll never sway some people.

I know what you mean about Schuie ... everyone complains that he has the charisma of a brick (which he does) and that he is so damn good that the
inevitable outcome is boring ... but he is a truly awesome talent!

thank god he hasn't posed for the cover of FHM in hot pants!

I guess Danica just put me off with her "dont bug me I just woke up" style of responses to the interview ... who was equally lame ...

oh well back to her pictures in FHM ...

I do not see why anyone would find this interview a slight on the RS.

This video started very slowly....watching the car fast going in a straight line

Finally she gave her comments... which were based on her going in a straight line. When asked, she says it is probably better on a road course where you have to rotate the car.... I think that is pretty much the concensus on this car, no?

Besides her lack of "sunshine" in her personality, the real fault in this clip is the obviously wrong venue for testing this car.

It is like testing a new baseball glove at a track and field event.

One macho note, she needs to crack a smile though.... her eyes have this dead expression that makes me think.... "Real Doll".
