Default Tie-Down Question

Having come from Vipers which have slots in the frame to tie down with. How do you tie down a 997/GT3 in an enclosed car trailer?
Thanks,

I had M&R make up some straps with a sewn loop at one end. Feed the regular end through the rim, around the tire, through the loop, adjust and feed into ratchet and tighten.

Easy.

Don't use bare straps through the painted wheels! Get some of the soft pads that surrond the straps. I got mine from Mac's (www.macscustomtiedowns.com).

I got the G Force tie downs from saferacer.com to trailer my GT3 on an aluminum open trailer. They make a 33" sleeved 2" axle strap that goes through the front wheels, and you hook the strap to a rachet tie down from your front anchor point. Part numbers GT-2503 and GF-3608 (8 foot) or GF-3610 (10 foot).

For the rear, just bolt on some tie down hooks to the lower rear suspension near the motor and use the GF-3608 or GF-3610 rachet tie downs.

I also use a GF 3606 rachet tie down hooked to the front tow hook, just as a fail-safe strap.

I am lousy at posting photos, but I would be happy to send some photos to anyone who is interested or who would like to post them in this thread.

My GT3 is too low to cross the tie downs.
