John,

I don't know about UK but here in Canada, I've had my TPMS turnd off because it was totally inaccurate and gave warning messages even when the tyre pressures were set correctly from cold.
My dealer disconnected the module first and then eliminated the TPMS from the options menu.

vs my trusty old tire gauge:

Fronts - TPMS 29 vs Digital 30
Rears - TPMS 33 vs Digital 33.5

I think part (just a small part) of the problem might be that the system really monitors pressure in bar, rather than psi. If it measures to the nearest 0.1bar then that's 1.5psi, so it can't really distinguish differences as close as 1psi, so sometimes it shows it up to 1psi adrift even when it's been very accurately set.

Just a thought.

Just bought 4 new TPI sending units--- dealer wants about $500 to synch them to on Board Computer. Anyone had this problem. I´m about to throw the damn things away. Mike in Georgia

Can't you sink them yourselves with the onboard menu? I think you drive a bit and the car finds the new ones.

If you purchased the correct ones, it sees them without any coding. 997.1 and 997.2 are not the same-
