Default 997 Gt3 Brake Squeal

I have the steels on mine and find they squeak like crazy when coming to a stop. They have got worse after i hit 1000 miles. Any one with a similar problem? any suggestions? do the ceramics squeak too?
thanks,
Todd

There is a very simple solution; get it up to over 100mph and smash on the brake peddle. No more squeaks! It's just dust, you got to clean them out every once in awhile.

you need to bed in the pads again.
gotto 60mph, brake firmly to 30
goto 80mph, brake to 30
goto 100 break to 40-50.
do that 3x each, noise will be history.

EDIT: after doing the above, drive the car at fwy speed for 15-20 miles and try not to use the brake so you can get them cooled off. dont just park it after the above exercise.

yeps you just need to bed the pads in properly.... when you're doing what mooty says it's IMPORTANT that you don't stop completely to a halt with the brakes tho AKA don't sit on the brakes. Otherwise start over

And even after a cool down don't use the parking brake for a good long while.

I think the squeal is cool! Just like a Cup car!

I tried to bed them in but I guess I wasn't scientific enough...I'll get on that tomorrow morning. It's been hilarious squealing to scare pedestrians at 1mph and then watching them jump when I get on the gas getting away from the stop sign or light.

well after trying mooty's technique most of the squeal is gone but I still have some...really annoying when I'm parking.
