I am not feeling it. The 996 GT2 was an order of magnitude better than the 996TT
IS THIS 997GT2 $75K better than a 997 TT? The brochure stated a bunch of stuff thats already
on the TT like variable Vane technology I hate to tell you guys this but thats been on my Chevy Diesel truck for 3 years and Porsche is just gettting it? The expansion of gases just before they get compressed? I dont know the theory behind that either. (I will talk to some aero guys at work next week) Outisde of driver aids 30 hp and launch control what is the big bang for you buck PCCBs?
A lightened exhaust? You can get that from AWE.
I am probably missing it. It sounds like maybe a $160 base to me.
Gotta admit the seats ARE HOT!

That is my one remaining problem as well as it regards this car....the last generation GT2 up here was $285K CAD + taxes by the time you optioned it out somewhat.......and a regular turbo was around $185.......

If the 997 GT2 price is around $220-230K CAD + taxes I will do it (as that number would be in line with the US MSRP)........or I will buy a used American 997TT, import it, and spend $30K on it at an independant tuner.....go faster and save $75K depending on the MSRP.

YYC- I agree the TT is such an easily upgradable car you have to wonder if the GT2 is worth a 100K CAD

AWD and PSM ruined the car.

Official UK price is 131,070 GBP, or 266 308.026 U.S. dollars. I'm sure Porsche will subsidize a portion but how much I do not know.

There is a siginificant difference between tooner hp/development and PAG, not even close......530 hp are 700 hp in US tooner talk......

99 % of posters on this board will never ever be able to drive it at the limit no matter what electronic enhancements are on the car. After all this whining about Porsche going soft owners are scared ****less now that PAG dialed in a small amout of oversteer in the 997tt, I guess they can't win with all you expert pilots who choose to make money in any given field instead of putting your talent to good use in F1. LOL, there is always the sunroof excuse............

Fact : the GT2 is faster than the Carr GT around the Ring and outclasses the RS in Hockenheim by a large margin but due to some political infighting at PAG the GT2 might be artificially slowed down before the official release, but it is not definite yet.

BTW, Ferrari had launch control on the early 575 F1 but recalled / disabled it almost immediatly because this northern american breeding ground for the world best net drivers could not handle it.

The other thing I noticed in the RADICAL air expansion diatribe is that it sounded like a bunch of hooly balloo just to get to the point that they turned up the boost.

Pole the reason 99% of us cant drive is because they make so few of them and priced so high the only people who have the skill of Lewis Hamilton or the financial resources of Don Trump can get one-- Thats why I am sure you will be the #1 guy for a GT2 at your dealership.

Has nothing to do with money, you can pick up a 996GT 2 in the low 100's and it will blow ANY GT3 in the right hands but it requires deeds behind the steering wheel not talk.......however I have to give you a break because it appears you belong to the NRA and that is always a big plus in my book. No joke.

Having a deposit and getting the car at or within a reasonable amount over MSRP sometimes don't go hand in hand...

997 GT2: yummy !!!

That car must have over 530Hp. 3175 lbs, 0-100mph in low 7secs? That's Carrera GT, Enzo territory.
