Do you think getting on the list for a 997 GT2 early and getting a GT2 @ MSRP will prove as prifitable as having a early delivery of a 997 GT3 RS has been?

Do you have a work lift as well?
No lift here - use the lift @ C2 Design in Tampa when needed.

No - $189,000 MSRP plus options = $205 - $225K + I am not a buyer at $250 - $275 - too close to Carrera GT $$$

next market hype will be GT2. we shall see how long it lasts. an interesting point, the stock market is doing well recently i expect more people with more money than brain will jump on these ''hot'' cars. i'm not surprised by the projected low production number on the 997 GT2. afterall there're not too many 996 GT2 built. look at that market.

i love the GT2 but not sure i want to spend 200k+ on it.

The fact that an NA engine can produce 415 BHP of usable power boggles my mind. Sure the GT2 is way faster. But can you really fully use it? Most magazines (Car, Top 911, European Car...) have hailed the GT3 as the best 911 ever built. Probably not the fastest but the best.

From what I've learned, the GT3 will only be a tad faster 0-60, if at all...not sure about 0-100. Can't justify spending that much more dough on something that doesn't have a truly noticable difference in speed. The current turbo's are posting 3.5 0-60. Further, I don't think the GT2 will have the novelty effect that the RS has. RS all the way for me...I wouldn't trade it for a GT2 (unless I could unload it for a profit and have another RS waiting on me).

The last GT2 was considered a commercial failure, the depreciation was staggering, but it was a Monster!
According to someone who has good contacts with Porsche in Germany, the GT2 will NOT be a limited production car. Some areas of the country may experience difficulty buying one but in most places you can walk into the dealer and order the car. Those of you interested in paying over $200,000 for a Porsche will have no problems buying the car.

The RS is having an unexpected good run of interest but people buy Porsche's for performance. The RS will slowly fade as newer models come to market.
