Thats the exact news i got from my guy, about the boat name and the original arrival date. My guy said that since it has been delayed, it will probably be a few days late, hopefully not, but difinitely a possibility. I tried tracking the ship, but got no where. Hopefully more info tomorrow.

Last status i have herd is that the Braunscheig is expected to arrive in the Balimore around the 20th, and the California Hwy is expected to arrive at Brunswick on the 25th. I all depends on what port your car is coming in to. At least there are 2 boats coming our way. As sson as your car hits the post, the Porsche computer is updated with its arrival with in a day or two. So you should be able to call your dealership and see when it hit port. The it will go through the PDI (Porsche Deliovery Inspection I think) and then get on a truck and get delivered to its destination. My guy said it normaly takes around one week to hit port and be delivered.

Brian,
these are good news. I'll check with my dealer tomorrow. Last I've heard it'd be in Baltimore on the 27th. He's off on Fridays but I'll ask him to check tomorrow when he gets in... and post as soon as I get confirmation.
Regards

BIG UPDATE, The California Hwy, just arrived at Brunswick this morning. I actually talked to the Porsche Rep for the port. She explained how it works upon arrival and the trucking and all, she was awesome. 31 GT3/RS came on that ship today. She said she will start the inpection tomorrow and then the ones that are good that have no damage and no mechanical issue's, get turned over to the trucking company and is loaded on the truck when they have a truck ready. Pretty cool. It took only 9 days for it to get into port from Bremerhaven. So your baby's shouls arrive at dealer hopefully next wek.............. YEA YEA YEA

I am getting a little discourged, my GT3 (according to my dealer) was completed and ready for shipment around the 10th of July and he provided me the VIN number. Now over two weeks later he has no record that it has been loaded or invoiced to a ship. Original delivery was forecast as the end of July, that was then backed off to the first part of August, but I would think if it has not yet been loaded on a ship that the end of August is a more reasonable target. It is going to the port of Houston, Tx. comments

My dealer said the "BRAUNSCHWEIG" is at port and my car is going through the PDI process. Pickup from port Saturday and delivery in Danbury, CT on Monday the 30th.
Hopefully this helps someone out there.
It's been a long wait since October of 06. Glad it is getting to an end.
