Default video of the gt3 at Mosport yesterday

- haven't been to Mosport in 4 years since I moved to the states
- i have approx 25 DEs + 3 day skippy school at limerock experience
- took me a few sessions to get my nerve back to do turns 2,4 and 8 at anywhere near the car's ability
- i was able to get to consistent 1:40-1:41s and felt I was no where near what is possibly with the car (had to drive home and i'm not that good)
- for reference, there was another GT3 there plus a GT3RS (believe his name is Ron from Quebec) - Ron with passengers was "WAY" faster than 1:40
- i heard him complaining about the car pushing - i could fell pushing in turns 5b and 10 (felt neutral otherwise but I wasn't doing his speeds)
- the braking zone after the back straight (turn 8) was very slippery (if you look closely you can see the nose wiggle under braking)

- i have now done 10 events in the car
- for most people, i think the car is fantastic out of the box with likely running a bit more camber up front than the recommended tracksetup (likely -2.75f, and a little less in the rear -2.25 for better tire wear) - but for hardcore trackguys, i think firmer springs and definitley better tires is where they will end up

- the camera is a sony cybershot 5.1mega pixel combo picture video camera that screws into the harness bar camera mount
- the camera records directly to mpeg4 format
- with a 4 gig flash card i get over 3 hours of recording
- the battery last about 1.5 hours
- i downloaded some free video editing software and pulled out a few laps

as i saw the orange gt3rs fly by me it was pretty obvious there was more to be had - i did get it down to 1:39 on the last session for a lap or two - if i wasn't 600miles from home and having to drive back in a few days, i think i could have reduced it by another second - to go below that i need more seat time and a bigger bank account because the time is to be found in 2, 4 and 8 and those corners never end well if you make a mistake

I would expect that a well driven GT3 should be in the sub 1:30 range at Mosport. For context David Empringham drove a Boxster S, with nothing more then a track alignment and Corsas on it, with the top down and a passenger in the car in a 1:33.

Looking at your video your turn in point in 5b looks really late to me (its hard to tell on a video) and that could be causing you to feel a push there.

I just got a suction mount, but the camera only clears if shot upsidedown. I'll get it figured out. Until then, I only got a 2:00 lap from my 944 turbo here

The Orange RS was driven by racerron. Someone actually questioned his ability to drive when he complained about the understeer of the RS when he first got it. I guess that's been put to rest
