Heavy clutch?
Could be something or nothing, but the first thing I noticed when I took delivery of my GT3 was how heavy the clutch is.
I'd previously driven (very briefly) an RS and also had a half-day PDE with a GT3 and don't remember it being notable on either. Also, I'm fresh out of a 414bhp Audi RS4 whose clutch was much lighter than this.
Reminds me of 964 clutches when they are way past their best - it's not the 'I'm going to bend this pedal' sort of load that I've experienced in the occasional other car (notably an old F 308), but nevertheless, if it's meant to be this heavy, I'm surprised the subject hasn't cropped up more on here.
Any comments?

My GT3 clutch is much stiffer than my 997 C2S clutch but I am in complete heaven with it! I love the feel, the engagement, the grab, and the stiffness is perfect. Feels similar to the Z8 but more refined.

Thanks - I've driven the occasional 997 and found the clutch very light, and a friend has driven a 996 RS and said it was nothing out of the ordinary (the clutch, I mean ), so I'm thinking mine is probably OK based on your replies.
I've driven a fair bit in traffic and didn't find it a problem as such, so I guess it's really OK.
Any other comments welcome, though.

I came directly out of driving a 997S Cab everyday and into the GT3 and the first thing I noticed was how much harder the clutch pedal was to press. After a short while you get used to it.

You do get used to it very quickly. There is much greater feedback on what is happening. On my C2 Coupe it was possible to stall. Never happened on the GT3. You know where you are all the time.

LOL, not on the lwt flywheel RS.
i stalled at the first light out of dealer on day of delivery.
i am so glad i wasn't rear ended....
that would have been tragically embarrassing.

When I picked up my GT3 in Europe I was shocked how much effort it required compared to my TT. I quickly got used to it and then when I got home the first time I got into the TT I almost pressed the clutch pedal thru the floorboard

Following in her father's footsteps. Should not ever fall below #2. I would say #1 but I have a granddaughter who is 2-1/2 and holds that title.

clutch about same as my old 348 spider.
whats really amazing is how easy and light the steering is yet it is also so accurate. cant imagine better steering system than this
