"Nothing Else Comes Close" ?????

Its a "puff" piece. Porsche advertising dollars are very important to a weekly car magazine like Autoweek. The never ever say anything bad about Porsche and extol their cars to god like status.

So are the owners they cited; Matt Webb, Charlie Hitt, and Dan Izard Rennlisters?

Fitting review, but we already knew all that.

Pretty hard car to top.

What's there to say that's bad? The car is great as is the brand. The numbers are close with other cars, but the headline served it's intended purpose, to grab your attention and solicit a reaction.

They mentioned the difference in the tires used, sunroof, etc. etc. I don't remember Ferrari placing an ad with Autoweek, but they have wonderful things to say about their vehicles. The piece was fair IMO.

I'm not surprised by the review. And IMO the GT3 is a superior sports car than Ferrari's current offering.

Congrats to you GT3 owners on what has to be the most universally positive in-depth review ever written by AutoWeek. 60-0 in 98 feet! Yowza...

and whilst using logic to convince myself it was more righteous than a strad... i failed and much prefer my new Strad.

the new cosmic order:

1 - strad
2- 996 gt2
3 - 997 gt3 but

ps just to avoid the cr.p, this pic is not my car, it doesnt have tint on window or wheel nor yellow calipers, but it's black and i like the photo. nor does it have a stripe

Considering how many people are interested in the 997 GT3 the article was weak.

Photographs of Rest of World Spec GT3 in a US magazine, give me a break. They should have had more comments by owners like Watt. I realize they are following a template but they could have done four pages easily. What else do they have to write about???

Watt, thanks for getting in print, some of the issues that many of us are concerned about!
