I didn't find this on the tire rack site....the cups didn't show up as an option. Is this still available?

I have tried MPSC 235/315 in 18" In my opinion it is too much rubber in the back or not enough in the front. Made the car understeer. May be I should use a lot less pressure in thr front to compensate. You may need to squize a 265 in the front but I do not think that they would fit. Unfortunately that is the next size above the 235. 245/315 18" Hoosiers felt a lot better balanced. I used them for one day. if you are interested I would consider selling them.
Has anyone tried the proxes RA1?

What would be the best tires sizes for 18" MPSC?

Front: 235/40-18
Rear: 295/35-18 is recommended by tirerack for MPS....I can't find the cups on tirerack for 18's.

You can try the 295/30. They actually work out pretty well. The car feels pretty well balanced. It will slightly change you gear ratio. Next step is the 315.

It would be nice if a 265 would fit up front but it won't without some modifications. I like the 235,315 combo personally. I don't think it makes the car understeer any worse. Going to a 295 in back won't make the car have more grip, quite the opposite so I would use 315's and adjust the suspension. Springs come to mind and GRussel (I think that's his handle) is doing some research for us now.

mitch236...have you run the 235,315 combo already on the 997GT3? If so, why change the suspension?....thanks.

Do you have any problems with rubbing while steering? I know the race car has a limited steering lock.

The best I fitments I have found are:

Pirelli Slicks 245/645-18 & 305/660-18
Hoosier Grand Am GT 245/645-18 & 295/660-18
Toyo RA-1 245 & 305

all work well on 9" front and 11.5" or 12" rear.

Thanks! I am loving this project!

Will you be at Willow next week? I will be trying out the new 900lb springs and sway bars.

Too bad no rear fitment for the RS though.
