GT3 Nut

What is a fair price to ask for a slightly used White 997 GT3 that stickered at about $118,000 (with PCCB)? I will be selling it in late June to mid July with approx. 3,000 miles on the clock. (currently at approx. 1700).
I see prices over sticker right now on new ones and even on slightly used ones.
I was hoping to get sticker price. Is that reasonable or "Rennlist acceptable"?
Of course I lose the money I paid in tax and I also put the clear paint protection film on it (approx. $1000). If Virginia had the tax credit for trades I would surely trade it. Come to think of it, I may ask my dealer what he would give me anyway because he indicated when I bought it something about being able to trade it for hardly any loss or even sell it for a profit or something to that effect.
I am only selling because I have an RS coming.
(My RS is a July build with PCCB. I hope it is not delayed because of the PCCB's!)

Sell it now to your dealer at MSRP or more and usually you still have 60 days or so to apply the tax towards a new car.

But the worst part is that you gotta pay $5 per $100 of assessed value every year.

It is $2.80 per $100 in the county where I am, but the first $20K in value is given a small break, but I can't remember exactly what it is. I try not to think about it when I am buying $100K cars, but when the bill comes every year it makes me mad. That will be over $3300 on the RS EVERY YEAR

Maybe I should just advertise it out there and offer it at $8K over so they can pay for enclosed transport from the east coast

Wow. And here I sit in Michigan, feeling ill-used because I pay a license fee that's approx $500/year (and will diminish as the car's value depreciates). $3300??? Revolutions have been mounted over less than that! Or, perhaps that's why Michigan's budget is $600M in the red and State employees are being asked to take 20 days of unpaid leave over the remainder of the fiscal year.

I live in northern VA (Fairfax county) and the property tax on cars sure makes you think before buying. I paid $2700 or so on my 2004 GT3 last year. I had a friend who paid $6K on his AM DB9. I believe the tax is somewhere just shy of $5/$100 of assessed value with the first $20K discounted to some degree. The tax was to be eliminated a while back, but that changed obviously.

You pay this fee every year but do you also pay a tax when you buy new at the dealership??

Yes, you pay the fee every yr as well as any sales tax when you buy the car. The overall property tax goes down to a degree as the car does depreciate. Hard to believe, but you would pay more in tax every year to have a Ferrari 599 than a $1,000,000 house.

Nut I was told by a friend there is a new GT3 on the lot for 25K over (in California) so 10K over for less than 3k Miles seems reasonable if what he said is true.

On the plus side you can deduct the tax on your fed return. On the negative side, many of us can't in reality b/c of Alternative Min Tax (AMT), which should cause us all to revolt and overthrow the bastards.
