I cannot post the pictures of the roll bar yet as my car is at the shop until I take it to VIR. You will be able to check it out there. If youare not going to VIR next week-end remind me and I'll take some pics.
No clearance problem with 315

If you can get a set, it would be difficult to challenge the Mich slick used for GT3 IMSA Cup. At Miller Motorsports Park this weekend it was apparant that they were clearly designed for these Porsches (5 seconds over an RA-1 at least) ... but be careful, the grip is so good that when they let go - they let go. My .02 is to buy tires according to your seat time and ability with your car.

Are you talking about the R6's or the Grand-am spec tire? Not sure if we can just buy the Grand-am tires.

I don't have the "blue" label Michelins. But I have used the Michelin s7a/s8a slicks on my previous 996 GT3 that had motons and stiffer springs. I am familiar with how they work, however I am not sure it would give me that much advantage on a stock 997 GT3. I have a feeling the Hoosiers will be the best suited for a stock 997 GT3 in order to get the most out of the car without overworking the PASM.

Save those puppies for the return of the "Green Lantern."
I don't think I would even go to the effort of putting all the other stuff in the car because as soon as the cup car is back that is where you will be.

I agree with all of what you say. I am just getting really impatient waiting for my Cup to be done.
I am just not real comfortable driving the 997 GT3 as fast as I have without the roll bar, harnesses, HANS, etc.
But hopefully this will be the last event I "have" to use the 997 for.
