How many miles on arrival
My GT3 completed production on 5/4 and I am told it has not shipped yet. How many miles should the car have on it when delivered to the dealer? I live over 3 hours away from the dealer and I just dont want them to have it for a week before they tell me it arrives and have some joy rides in it

So If the car has over 20 miles when I get to the dealer is it fair to say I can raise hell

It should roll off the truck at the dealer with about 5 miles, as noted, but once the PDI is done, it will have another ten, then they'll drive it to the local station for that first "free" tank of gas.
Anything over about 25 would be questionable.
I'm told if the car (like a Carrera or Cayenne for example) has the "log book" option, it will show every start and stop -- I wonder if that is recorded before it's PDI'd.
As for the age old fear of your oh-so-special car being the joy ride of choice, that might be a risk at a Ford dealer getting a GT or a Chev dealer with a Z06 in its latest form, but a GT3 at a Porsche dealer is no longer the "wow" factor and the dealership is a business where the liability of the joy ride has long since been stopped. The most that ever happens is a customer getting a passenger ride after the PDI.
As long as you identify this concern with the dealer, they'll be careful. I just make a point of repeating all the instructions to everyone and I coordinate with the sales guy to be there when the truck arrives (Intercity is very good at calling ahead) so the dealer is very clear that you're not going to be happy with an excessive number on the odo.
