Default Dude, where's my car?

I'm dying here waiting for my car. I tracked the ship it was on via the San Diego marine website and found out it landed in port last Thursday night. So, today I ask my dealer what's up and he sends me an email.

"The Porsche System is down since Saturday .I was waiting to see if will come back today, but is not ,tomorrow after 9 am.i should be able to check ,i will follow up with you tomorrow."

WTF!!!!
What kind of company has their computer system down for days at a time.

I'm definitely amazed. I would not be able to buy a Porsche if Google were down for days at a time.

Not that it will make you feel better, but my car was theoretically built on May 4th, and I have had the same story that the computer is down. No information available. I guess the bright side is they are making cars and not computers.

386! Haha. Since their cars don't even have Bluetooth yet I bet they are using an 8088 to print out those cryptic text messages about car production status.

They rebooted their computer. My car is finished with PDI and waiting for a truck.

Yikes. It's still maybe a week away? This is depressing. I've never ordered a car before. I always have gone for the instant gratification. Now I know why.

Calm down! Have you occupied yourself with all the requisite WAITING PERIOD activities, e.g., garage preparation, warning the neighbors...?

Let's see...I don't have a garage so that's out. And I sold my 997 S Cab last week and already paid for this car that I don't have yet so that may be the cause of some of my anxiety.

You and me both - I am not used to waiting for cars. Or anything else for that matter LOL.

My last two cars (997S and E55) were both on their way to the dealer when I decided I wanted them and both had my colors and specs.

The TT will end up being a 6 month wait. I'm dying.
