Default GT3 RS Green Brembo Brakes

My friend, Scott wanted PCCB's but was too late with the decision, so here is what he and Chris @ C2 Design in Tampa came up with!!!!!!

The matching green calipers are for real - no photoshop action.

Just saw today - amazing in person and FYI - we are boxing up all factory parts for the purists etc.... can always be put back to stock for resale.

Man that is too cool! I have a Signal Green 94 Turbo. Ask your friend if they can do them in Signal Green.

They are getting a special paint on them to tint them very very slightly to knock off the bright red look.

What did he spend on getting that done?
Looks really good!
I was considering canceling my PCCB's and sticking with the steels. Now my curiosity is peaked!

I'll post all info tomorrow after I talk to Chris @ C2. REVISED 5/2/07 - What you are looking at is full Brembo Big Brake kit front and rear. Includes new two piece rotors, calipers and pads. Paint work was done locally and install was through C2 Design in Tampa. The cost is similar to PCCB's in price 8 - 10K range. The front rotors are similar in size to the PCCB's 380mm / 14.96" with 6 Piston Monoblock Calipers and the rear rotors are huge 380mm / 14.96" with 4 Piston Monoblock Calipers vs. Porsche's 350mm.

Completed on ground pics this weekend - still work in progress. As far as the different weights PCCBs are 37lbs lighter (unsprung weight) than the stock Porsche steel brakes and I do not have accurate weights on the Brembos. Due to the larger rotors plus light weight hats, I expect them to be similar in weight to the factory steel brakes. I will provide better info as it becomes available.

The Brembo weights are:

1M1.9007A – Front 380mm 6 piston Monobloc front kit.
Front 380x32mm rotors 18 lbs
Front 6 piston Monobloc caliper 7.8 lbs.
Front pads for 6 piston Monobloc caliper 3.2 lbs.

Total 29 lbs.

2P1.9005A – Rear 380mm 4 piston Monobloc rear kit.
Rear 380x28mm rotors 15 lbs.
Rear 4 piston Monobloc caliper 6 lbs.
Rear pads for 4 piston Monobloc caliper 2.6 lbs.

Total 23.6 lbs.

Does anyone know the weights of the factory steel brakes?

Factory 6 piston Calipers with pads 11lbs.
Total Front Weight 35lbs.

Factory 350mm Rear Steel Rotors 21lbs
Factory 4 piston Calipers w/ pads 9lbs
Total Rear Weight 30lbs
