Default 2 weeks and counting, how long does

it take after a car is completed to get on vessel?

My dealer had their first RS held up for 4 weeks, finally on vessel today after being completed first week in Feb.

Ugh.

It took my GT3 5+ weeks to get on vessel....completed Jan. 19th, finally made it to the boat Feb. 27th, and into port (Baltimore) yesterday. So a related question: how long does it take to get from port to my dealer (Chicago)? I figure 2 days to truck it here, but how long to actually make it out of the port facility?

I seem to be learning as I go here but what I have learned is that all delivery times are estimates only. This is because of the unforseen; mechanical failure, weather conditions, or both. This creates a logistical nightmare for those counting down the day for your baby to arrive. But I do know that once the car has arrived in Balitmore, SOLD units are FAST TRACKED for processing and are usually at the dealership (us, here in Ohio) 48-72 hours later....but it ALL depends on how the schedule is flowing.

I called my dealer today, they had no idea when the car would be on the boat. It was completed last friday and I figured it would be westbound on the water by now but its not. I sure hope it doesn't take 4 more weeks. My wife is tired of the toy tire marks on the kitchen table. The model cars tires need replacing and I cant even read the size needed!

My GT3 was completed Feb 2nd and loaded onto the RYUJIN around the 14th. The boat docked at Baltimore last week and the car reached my dealer in NY yesterday. I picked it up today.

One happy camper. Now if the #$%@ weather would just cooperate...

Sometimes the car has to wait for an available Intercity Lines transport, as all GT3's are handled by them from Port to Dealer

My GT3 took two weeks to find the water, then another delay at port waiting for Intercity.

My GT3 was completed on the 6th and is waiting to board the boat. From what I am reading it can take up to 5 weeks just to make it on the boat and how long will the boat take? I was also told that the cars are not coming into San Diego but Texas, so it could be on the truck another 5 days, Oh the agony.

My car was on the vessel 11/16/06, arrived in port on the 8th of Dec I picked the car up in Rocklin on 20 Dec. It took 10 days to get from San diego to Rocklin another 2 for the PDI and clear bra. I now have 4041 miles on the car, most of them on Hwy-1, 1 oil change and 2 new Pilot sport cups on the rear. Worth every penny!!! You are going to be well rewarded for your patience Frayed!

Thanks 'boarder. 4k miles in 3 months is great! It sounds like you are just as excited today as you were when you got the car.
