My situation is a little different from everyone else's as far as shipping my GT3.
I got my GT3 thru a dealer in Ohio (thanks to Cosmos). Originally it was to be shipped to San Diego and prepped by a dealer in SoCal, but when my guy tried to get someone here to deliver the car he got nothing but a rash of sh*t from 8 different dealers in LA and Orange county. He offered to pay a reasonable fee $500-600 for the service, but they wanted $1500 to $1700. He said screw them and decided to take delivery himself and ship it out to me using Intercity.
I can't say enough good things about this sales manager. Contrary to what has been going on at BHP and other dealerships in Calif, this guy is as honest as they come. When I ordered my GT3 he told me how he was going to get it to me and that I would have to pay for the prep. I was OK with it because he sold me the GT3 at $2K below MSRP When he told me how much it would cost to have Intercity deliver ($1700) I thought I was SOL but he charged me less than 1/2 the cost, plus he threw in a set of clear side markers at no charge.
Anyone in the market for any Porsche (except a GT3 or RS he dosen't have anymore allocations) who lives in the midwest or even on either coast and wants to deal with a excellent dealership PM me and I will give you the details. This is the way all Porshce dealers should operate.
After PDI in Baltimore, Intercity delivered the GT3 to my dealer and while they prepped it, the truck dropped off another GT3 at another dealership and then returned to get my car. Intercity will be delivering it to my home.
It left last night with a full load of GT3's and RS's. It dropped off a GT3 or RS in Chicago today and I think it's headed to New Mexico. I tried to find out the ETA to the OC but the dispatcher who is handling this truck was out to lunch when I called Intercity and she didn't return my call
The person I did talk to wasn't sure of the route the truck was taking and how many stops it had to make. His guess was it would be here by the Thurs or Fri of next week. I'll try to call again tomorrow and see if I can get a better idea as to when it will make it out here.

Add me too. Does anyone else in the Bay Area have their car in-hand?

Just got off the phone with Intercity. The truck is just crossing the border into Oklahoma, heading for Albuquerque to drop off a car. The dispatcher hadn't talked to the driver today but will contact him sometime this afternoon. She will then be able to give me a better idea when he'll be in SoCal. I'm assuming he'll come here before heading to the Bay area (sorry Josh). If you think your GT3 or RS is on this truck you can call Intercity at (800) 221-3936.

We are scheduled to dock in San Diego today.

However I still haven't determined if my RS is on an Intercity truck or the RYUJIN. Argh!

Looks like the jokes on me
The Intercity driver just called and he's crossing Texas today and headed for Albuquerque. After that he's going to San Francisco to drop off all the NorCal RS's . Then he will finally head south and arrive on Sat.
I tried to tell him it's in the 80's here and the beach is full of young hard bodies walking up and down coast hwy but he's committed to going to the Bay area first.
Josh is your RS on this truck?

Josh,
Well if the Ryujin docks tonight as scheduled on the San Diego port report you may get your RS before I see my GT3.
I thought that the original ETA for the Ryujin when it left Germany was the 13th and after getting delayed in Baltimore it would add a couple days to the scheduled docking date. They must have made up some time crossing the gulf.
Check with your salesman he should be able to tell you when your RS gets to PDI.

Congrats John!
soarteeth,
Yep, we are going to see our cars at approximately the same time - at least I hope so. For cars coming off the Ryujin its just a matter of how quickly they can hitch a ride on an Intercity carrier. I'll keep you posted. At least the status of my car in the order system will change in a few hours!

The Ryujin has come and gone out of San Diego. There should be a number of GT3's and RS's being delivered this weekend.
If you're one of the lucky ones to get your car, post a reply on this thread and let everyone know what you got and how you equipped it
