Thanks Ray! I have a '04 GT3 and mine is a garage queen I only drive it few times a month but do stare at it everyday when i open the garage. I guess I just appreciate the car differently than most of the track junkies of this forum. I have thought of going to driving school but no way I will ever track my GT3. Not only because it's my very first Porsche I treasure so much but also because I am not comfortable taking such an expensive car to a track, drive the heck out of it and if something happens to it, I can just say oh well

Don't let the experts on this forum discourage you to take your GT3 to the track. Most people don't "drive the heck out of their cars" (as they are still dependent on getting back home) at DE events - because it's not a race. With a good instructor, taking the car to a DE event will make you a much better driver. It's ok to point people by and drive 7-8/10s and still have fun! Try it sometime - you will not be disappointed.

Enjoy the RS.

No, Doug. I was driving a silver car that belonged to a friend of mine from Houston (John Sinders). At 141 mph in 4th coming up to a 90 degree turn off the banc I was a bit scared. Mine is Fayence yellow.

I asked if you were the one who bought the car but they were unsure. I'm glad to hear you purchased the car! Congratulations!! I hope all is well. Hopefully we can catch up soon.

Hey, Jason! I didn't know you were on this forum but I should have known! Sorry you missed the RS, but I will have it back next week and you know where we live! Give me a call when the weather gets better and you can come shoot the cars.
Thanks for saying hello,
Ray

Ray-

Now that someone has an RS to look at.

There was all kinds of speculation I recall that the USA version would perhaps have a Carbon Fiber hood when the Euro version did not, this didn't make sense to me since I figure if the Euro car has aluminum it would be a very long shot for the USA car to have CF construction.

Well, is your RS's front hood CF or aluminum?

It's aluminum, not carbon fiber.

As far as greens are concerned, I did think it was viper green, a fairly "out there" color from the early 70's. However, the more pictures I see, the more "minty" it looks to me. Not that that is a bad thing...
Has anyone seen one in person? Is it "viper" or "mint"?
I note that Porsche calls it "green"...

It's neither Viper nor Signal. It's a new green color. "Mintier" than both.
