My info comes from a personal friend who happens to be the GM of the Porsche dealer. He only had two RS slots (of course already taken) when I asked him if he could help me find an RS. I had a GT3 on order and decided that I really wanted the RS or possibly a Ferrari 430. He called me on Friday and told me that he got an extra allocation and it looks like it will be an "08. He said that someone who had the '07 allocation might want the '08 but I would be getting one of them. I'm not sure where he is getting his information. I will find out.
I'm 90% sure we're not getting any RS' for 2008. If you can get an '07 GT3 or RS take it because the way they allocated the RS was like no other P Car I've seen. They gave the dealer the entire allocation at once and you had to supply them well ahead of time with your waitlist of customers. Remember the car was created to homologate the RSR for competition, I really don't think we'll see a '08. The GT3 won't get the facelift for awhile...the 2005 GT3 still had the old body style with the 997 being sold right beside it. No dealer has a clue of their '08 allocation and if they only got two for '07, they're a smaller dealer and may not even get an '08 RS if in fact production was extended.
