MPSC will get killed in summer due to heat cycles. 30-40 driving days on good weather and highway miles, and they will be toast.
I think it's wise to save the MPSC to commute to the track, run the track and come back, then swap to nice 18"-19"-20" wheels and street tires (PS2).

Is there any disadvantage - other than decreased performance - in running PS2s on a daily basis?

for me, the first 10 laps is great, then it slips off. if i back off foro a lap 2-3 miles in length, the grip returns.

Fronts, probably twice as long.

That's a lot less than what I had in mind! Wow! Thanks for the info.
I guess I better order PS2s and have them installed directly by the dealer prior to delivery, then. Or run the MPSCs until they are shot and then switch to PS2s.

MPSC Wear Rating = 80
MPS2 Wear Rating = 220
Average mileage on MPS2 is about 7000 miles.
Average mileage on MPSC = 7000x (80/220) = 2545
The fronts should be double that (5090).

The UAE is one of the cheapest places in the world to buy and operate a high-end sports car. Cheap gas (about 1.5 USD/Gal for premium), great roads, great track (FIA approved, Formula 1 grade). Insurance costs are quite high, though: about 7% of car value / year.

MPSCs are wasted on the street IMO, and the PS2s have near Rcomp feel for street use, feel very crisp and lively, and should last the good part of a year rather than requiring quarterly replacement.
I'm a Toyo fan, and shaved they seem to equal the MPSCs. They also withstand heat cycles better than MPSCs and you can run 18's on BBS racing wheels to fit over PCCBs (according to prior posts on the subject).
But, if you want a no fuss solution of combined street/track driving on one set of shoes, the N spec MPSCs may provide a nice solution *if* they can withstand the heat cycling of inherent in street driving. I'm concerned about this since it gets friggen hot here in mexico. If they don't hold up to heat cycling for normal summer street use, then your track outings will be underwhelming.
