I've been waiting all day to say how good that thing looks. My fantasy-GT3 is silver with silver wheels, but I may have to reconsider...

I was thinking WTF, why would this thread be closed.

I'm not a fan of silver cars, but that's a sweet ride.

Thanks. Needless to say, I am very excited. I am having a clear bra put on it late next week and a slight tint on the windows. I think the tint will tie the car together very nicely. I am regretting all the carbon fiber I ordered inside a little bit but it will probably be just fine.

I saw GT Silver with factory black painted wheels on a 997 -- those few quick pics don't do justice to just how impressive and distinctive this car is in the metal.

It looks like you've got some interesting options, I see some CF around the console. Please post the window sticker along with other detail pics.

Looks like a top shelf service shop too -- is that Reeves?

I just about ordered my car just like that. White is nice but silver is a close second.

It looks great with the black wheels.

I'm thinking black Forgelines for track wheels. Are they using Ti fasteners again now on the ZX3R? Is there going to be a better, light-weight wheel? In 19's? Tricky.

options:

GT Silver 3,070
P01 Adaptive sport seats 2,295
640 Chrono pkg plus 690
P12 Self dim mirrors and rain sensor 690
P74 Bi xenon 1,090
P16 PCM 3,070
490 Sound pkg plus 715
M6A Black mats 115
XSC Porsche crest headrest 270
XSH Seat belts silver 540
EZA Interior Carbon pkg 890
EZB Carbon package switch panel 2,900
XMJ Rear console carbon 1,625
XXZ Foot rest alum 250
CRX Wheels painted dev color 1,915

Total with options 126,125

If I had attended PDE earlier I would have cancelled the adaptive sport seats. The cars at PDE did not have them and I realized how much you do not need power seats in this car. Also, as I mentioned before the amount of carbon has me slightly worried but we will see!

I have to wait until Friday because of work tomorrow. As much as I tried to clear my calendar I could not do it.

The dealer is The Collection in Miami,

Thanks for the comments. That drive back from Miami is going to be a load of fun.

You'll have a challenge of self-restraint for the first 1000 miles -- the exhaust note is just too tempting.

I would agree the extra $4K+ in carbon trim is an indulgence to say the least. I went with EZA and from the pic of the transmission tunnel, I'm happy with the choice, plus door sills.

I just plain don't like the adaptive seats and they're heavy. I went with PCCBs but I'm still unsure and more than a little concerned about the hassle of hassling with the dealer if the rotors fail. Groan.

Of course $2K for painting the wheels seems like a lot, but I have to imagine if you did it after-market, maybe it would be $200 per wheel. Plus mounting and balancing. Saving $1K to go after-market versus having the car the way you want it off the showroom is money well spent. I should have gone with the black wheels. Next time.

Well, good luck with the delivery and the drive home, colour me envy-green.
