Default Changing from Steel to Ceramics -- Rotors Only

Wondering if it's possible to swap the steel rotors from a 997GT3 for ceramic ones, but use the same calipers. Probably need different pads too.. but would this result in better braking performance??

Why???
Calipers are different to accomodate the 30mm lgr rotor as may be the wheel carrier

Thought it might be a way to improve braking performance without having to go the full way for PCCB. They're a $14K option in Canada.
How about swapping for the ceramic rotors that come on the PCCB option for the Carrera S? I think those are the same size as stock steel GT3 rotors.

Perhaps, but I think the last GT3 had different hubs, offsets, wheel carriers, etc from the non GT carerras In addition, replacement rotors at 5k/each US and certainly more up north will exceed the option price of specing pccbs with your order.

I'd just spec them now if you want them. You'll have a frankenstein system with screwed up brake bias and you'll spend a lot more to boot doing it the other way around.

or just get rs19 pads with the steel rotors can't imagine needing any more braking performance than that..20k for replacement rotors (15-20% of car price) is too much for a consumable IMO
