I know, we're both on the same boat...track toys more than anything else. On several occassions I've had to use that disclaimer myself.

Use them like the engineers want you to!

Thanks for the very comprehensive reply. Is this something the dealer will agree to do or would one need to find a race shop with the proper gear?

^I'd be weary of having the dealer do it...they may claim that you're doing it to track it...which may lead to warranty issues. I would do it elsewhere, unless you have a good relationship with the dealer, as some of us do.

like MJ said, it depends on your relationship with the dealer, and most importantly the shop foreman.
also, if you find a race shop, it better be a MAJOR shop. b/c very few shops has the PIWIS computer to turn the thing off.
