Write PCNA..Re GT3 Sunroof
If you have not yet done so:
Please write expressing your displeasure for including a sunroof in the new GT3 and the added weight in the worse possible area.
Porsche Cars North America Inc
980 Hammond Drive Suite 1000
Atlanta, GA 30328
It can't hurt.....

PCNA probably looked at the extremely low statistics for sunroof deletes on Carrera and Turbo models when making their decision, forgeting that a significant number of GT2 & GT3 customers actually take their cars to the track where the sunroof is a drawback. If no one makes their opinion heard on the matter, PCNA will assume they made the right choice by only offering cars with sunroofs and we will see the same theme in the future.

There are far too many posts on this. Instead of writing letters, why don't all the people who it bugs them so much about having a sunroof, buy a euro spec car from Porsche and pay to put it through EPA crash testing. The fact that you get the car in it truest form without de-tuning for a price many thousands less than they cost in any country that gets them without a sunroof, should be enough.
I wrote a letter to PCA with the following suggestion after seeing all these comments:
If you show them the money, maybe they will listen.
I wrote a letter to PCA with the following suggestion after seeing all these comments:
PCA should offer a non-sunroof version of the GT3 as an additional cost option. Due to the cost of certification for this, it will be a $6000 option per vehicle. The first 20 buyers will be responsible for putting cash/non-refundable deposits for the full price of this option to PCA to be used for the cost of crash testing and certification of this model. Furthermore, these buyers will be required to sign legally binding purchasing contracts with pre-approved letters of credit for the full retail purchase price of these models. Should 20 cash deposits not be received, the purchasers are to be of the understanding that their deposit will not be returned and they will be given the option to purchase US certified sunroof models instead.
