Update, just got responce to letter.
I called into PCNA inquiring about my letter. I received a phone call today and the Official response was.
"All 997 cars (for North America), GT3, GT3RS will have sunroofs."
Nothing can be done about it, no ifs and or buts.
So, with that I bid you all adu, I am jumping ship to the Ferrari, and will be looking at a F360CS or trying to wrangle me up a F430CS.

I meant that I am not a previous F car buyer and I would need to get on a list somewhere or buy one previously enjoyed with 100 miles on it.
So I will need to chase an F430 CS down and Wrangle on up.

Cosmo,
I believe you...if what you were told is true, this SUCKS!!
Maybe it's time we go directly to PAG with this! I'm sending my letter (the same one) to PAG and letting them know that I've yet to receive a response. Let's see what that does?...not holding my breath...

I will not go thru with my RS order if this is true. I want a 997 GT3 of some kind but I feel that I can afford the the RS , HOWEVER I can't see how they will justify the price differential. I will probably get a regular GT3(997) knowing full well it is more of a "poseur" than my '04 GT3 but still faster and way better looking. To make myself feel better I will pull out 200lbs which will make the little bastard really haul a**. I hate the sunroof idea but I'll make it work. I may change my mind and not get a Porsche..... I'm so confused... (sobbing)

ferrari has never made an f430cs
people in the know on f-cars don't think one is coming.
there is a f430c
my honest opinion is that they have heard from enthusiasts and will rectify their mistake in the next model year.
i think it was too late b/f the voices were heard to make the change this year.
course, that doesnt do anybody any good NOW!

I don't keep up with F stuff, but the next CS seemed beyond doubt. And why would Ferrari not continue the Stradale?

For what it's worth I recently learned of a new effort to compel PCNA to change the sunroof decision and to become visible and utterly accountable to PCAG especially in terms of the Porsche brand if not as a matter of local (USA) sales and marketing decisions. After all, if they think this is their best play in the local market, so be it, it's their call, their business, their decision. But if PCAG deems this to compromise the Porsche brand, it becomes a decision to be made on a global level, not just a cost-cutting decision from a regional operation which has made many questionable decisions.
