I use the OEM Porsche version on the Porsches and have used the CTEK 5.0 on a vintage vehicle, it worked as expected.
CTEK, as I recall has a 5 year warranty.

Correct. There are a few on the market that allow a forced charge if you are trying to de-sulphate the battery.

I have 5 ctek. 3300, 4.3, lithium, 5.0. They all work fine for many years. The newer ones support a couple more features (AGM, desulfate, etc), i don’t even think about it. Plug in, car is always charged.
