Thanks! I’m still debating what to do for the exhaust. The first thing I need is headers/ manifolds with Cats. I could also be interested in a complete system factory or aftermarket.
I have a set of fabspeed catted headers and a fabspeed center muffler bypass I’m going to be listing soon.
You might not appreciate me saying this, but to enjoy on the street does not necessarily mean you have to convert it interior wise back to “street.” It’s quite the giggle when you’re able to hear all the noises from not having a carpet here or a speaker there.
as a side, that cage adds an incredible amount of rigidity and safety for when you ARE on track. Might you consider doing a RUF’esque solute?
Unfortunately the front part of the cage interferes with door panels and AC vents so it has to go. I totally agree with you about minimalist aesthetic and plan to make sure not to muffle too much the beautiful engine noises coming from the rear .
By the way, are you going after 3pt or leaving the 6pt’s in?
I’ll plan to add standard 3 point seat belts for city driving and keep the 6points for track days. I’m going to swap out the Hans seats for a set of recaro pole position ABE seats with pepita inserts.
Subscribed. This should be a very interesting project. You seem to have your head wrapped around the overall complexity and effort this is going to take. I'd be curious if this is going to be a home garage project, or if you have a more upgraded facility to work in?
All, I'm having trouble sourcing side muffler brackets from Porsche to mount the exhaust from Eliottw44. Does anyone have a set of the brackets gathering dust in their garage they'd be willing to part with?
I have a set in my garage but I wouldn't let them for for anything under $2,000 as I'd need a set when my car sells. Your best bet is grabbing that used on on ebay and buying a new one.

thanks! I pieced together a set from another eBay listing and new parts from Porsche Atlanta. It ended up being about $600 all in. Fingers crossed it plays nice together and works.
I'm past due for an update, but have been making steady progress. Exhaust is on. Parking brake installed. Cage is out. Side windows, door panels, carpet, seats, belts, new dash are all in. I removed the wrap off most of the car and installed the original rear wing. Unfortunately when the front and rear bumpers were repainted in the past, the color match isn't quite right. I'm trying to decide whether to repaint the bumpers or rewrap the whole car.
