Intro and new GT3 owner 2007 track car conversion...
Hi All,
Just wanted to introduce myself and my new project - a 2007 GT3 that's been most recently used as a dedicated track car. I've been on the hunt for a GT3 project and this one checked most of the boxes. My goal is to convert it to more of a mixed use car - streetable, but can still perform on the track. Adding cats & mufflers to the exhaust, windows, cage mods, and street friendly seats are first on the list.
This will be my second 911. 10+years ago I had a 1992 964 C2 that I restored and upgraded. Sadly, I sold it before moving overseas in 2013. I wish I had that one back, but I'm looking forward to learning and contributing to this community while building my dream 997 GT3!

Thanks Hamhands & Patrick3000 ! My son and I got straight to work yesterday (after a cruise around the block disturbing my neighbors with the cup car exhaust) .
I'll be posting some of the track oriented stuff in the classifieds soon. If you have a line on any black carpet and interior panels, please let me know.

Nice pickup! ACI is a great group to buy from.
Shameless plug: If you want to rip out that cage and put in a street-friendly 6pt bolt-in one, I have one of GMG's RSR cages for sale

You might not appreciate me saying this, but to enjoy on the street does not necessarily mean you have to convert it interior wise back to “street.” It’s quite the giggle when you’re able to hear all the noises from not having a carpet here or a speaker there.
as a side, that cage adds an incredible amount of rigidity and safety for when you ARE on track. Might you consider doing a RUF’esque solute?
