Ok they meet at the Target parking lot upper level for an 8:00 am depart. Drive up the 2 to the saddle, aka Clear Creek Visitor Information Center, aka the intersection of Angelus Crest Highway and Angelus Forest Highway and make a left onto AFH , then down the back side, past 9 Mile to Mill Creek Summit Picnic Area.

newcombs closed? I mean it has been closed for a few years (i think i had actual breakfast there right before they shut it down)... did they block the lot off?
EDIT: NM, the road there is all jacked from the rain... again. if not fires, it's rain... i prefer that route to AFH then loop around back to Big T.

Some guys I know went through the "Road Closed" barriers and went up and down 9 mile like three times. It was epic because there are no cars.

Ubt is my favorite of the bunch. You can RIP that road.

It sure is! Probably the safest road up there as it's the road less traveled. It's so nice!
That front side ACH up to Newcomb's is a joke with all the maintenance deferred JDM cars driving up there. I saw a Honda civic lose a wheel last year. Makes me not want to be there.
