Some say these were the good ole days. Well, there seems to be enough of us to make this happen again.

^^^ 100% unfortunately I wasn't in the GT club at that time, just drooling. That is when it was solidified that I "need" a GT if I'm gonna DE.

If someone sets something up or plans an event, maybe start a new thread. Would be nice to get a head count to see if we need one or two run groups, no more than 25 cars per run group please and we haven't even shared in the 996 group. DE group (big ****) and parade group (small ****).

Small **** at this time

I used to track my Porsche street cars including my 997.2 3RS, but then I finally bought this Audi and have zero desire to track street cars anymore.

I think this is pretty common sentiment from my friends that actually know how to drive and have a track… if I had a track near me no doubt I would want a less expensive dedicated and flat out better track car, also super easy to split the car and insurance among friends

Hell yeah, someone make a trophy. I'll see which car I can run a faster lap in...the 4L or the GT4RS.

We should hit up Benji's in Bakersfield for dinner, including the souffles.

Ill wager quite a few members here have already “been there and done that” with dedicated race cars and their required hauling equipment and support. There comes a time in one’s life where its preferable and makes more sense to revert back to just having a fun street car that can handle the occasional track day. Hard to beat the 997 GT cars in that regard. Bravo indeed to everyone who gets out there with these cars and enjoys them properly!

I never wanted to race. Only wanted a car that could survive driving to the track, put down some fast laps and then drive home. That to me IS the Porsche GT car.

I don't want the headache of towing cars to the track or racing. Would rather spend my free time on a bike.

Once in a while, taking the GT car out for a track day is still an awesome experience.

The 997 GT3/RS folks are the best, not like the easily triggered karens on the 992 GT3/RS section when you talk about ADMs dropping.

@usctrojanGT3 I heard someone at a car meet talking about you. He was visibly pissed off about your comments on the 992 GT thread. I just had to laugh.
