Am I the last crazy guy to still drive the 4.0 on track in 2023 ?

^^^ 100% unfortunately I wasn't in the GT club at that time, just drooling. That is when it was solidified that I "need" a GT if I'm gonna DE.
If someone sets something up or plans an event, maybe start a new thread. Would be nice to get a head count to see if we need one or two run groups, no more than 25 cars per run group please and we haven't even shared in the 996 group. DE group (big ****) and parade group (small ****).
Small **** at this time

Ill wager quite a few members here have already “been there and done that” with dedicated race cars and their required hauling equipment and support. There comes a time in one’s life where its preferable and makes more sense to revert back to just having a fun street car that can handle the occasional track day. Hard to beat the 997 GT cars in that regard. Bravo indeed to everyone who gets out there with these cars and enjoys them properly!

I never wanted to race. Only wanted a car that could survive driving to the track, put down some fast laps and then drive home. That to me IS the Porsche GT car.
I don't want the headache of towing cars to the track or racing. Would rather spend my free time on a bike.
Once in a while, taking the GT car out for a track day is still an awesome experience.

@usctrojanGT3 I heard someone at a car meet talking about you. He was visibly pissed off about your comments on the 992 GT thread. I just had to laugh.
