The 997 GT3, especially in white, has always been a dream car. Today my dream became a reality when this car was delivered to me from California. I am in total awe and beyond happy.
This is my 7th Porsche and makes the others feel like Pontiacs in comparison. That is obviously an exaggeration, but man, as y’all are well aware these cars are just something else. I had a 981 GT4 for the prior three years and this thing just feels soooooooo much more special. I don’t see myself letting go of it, ever.
I felt the same way when I first picked mine up (cuz as most of us know, there is VERY little opportunity to DRIVE one before you buy,... so we just launch based on faith into the purchase,... & then it pays off),... so after almost a half decade later, I STILL feel the hairs on my arms stand up when I'm bangin' thru the gears
It’s crazy how much heavier the clutch is compared to the GT4. That clutch felt pretty much like every other clutch, but this one is so stiff. I got out of the car and was like whoa, my calf is talking to me! So worth it though, I had a permagrin the entire time I was driving. A few times I just burst out laughing. This is not a normal car.
Welcome home, buddy. I will only bring up the fact that I urged you into your dream car like 3, maybe 4 times a week going forward.
I still vividly remember driving yours in January 2021 and it ruining all other cars for me. I was cackling laughing the entire time and left thinking the GT4 felt so “normal” in comparison.
