Finding 2007,2008, 2010,2011. Is there a difference in those years like the 997.1 997.2 "standard" 911?

I'm new in the GT3 world and looking. What years was the 997 GT3 Made, I seem to only find 2007,2008, 2010,2011. I understand the differences in the standard 997.1 and 997.2 do those apply to the GT3 as well?

.1 has a 3.6 with 415 hp. .2 has a 3.8 with 435hp.
.2 has centerlocks which are lighter but more of a pain if you track.
.2 has better gearing, better suspension, and better aero. This makes the 20hp delta feel like a 40hp delta.
.2 is more expensive and sought after.

But the .1 is more raw, more interesting to drive, has less potential issues and looks way better
Flame suit ready .2 people…
In all seriousness though Ive tried them all and 997 GT cars broadly are my favorite platform. Always seem to fall in love with .1s a little more for reasons I can’t fully explain. One of my favorite past cars was a .1 turbo with old school tiptronic. Don’t ask me why, I don't know the answer, it makes no sense.

Lot's to learn. Congrats on the purchase of the white 7.2GT3 on BAT . That was a great buy. The market has definitely softened but that's a great deal on a fantastic car. I have virtually the same car you down to the color. The standard narrow body 3.8 7.2 makes a great street car but the super tall gearing and the heavy DMWF makes it rather uninspiring from a performance standpoint especially on track. The wide body RS version of this car gets a LWFW and a shorter R&P / taller 6th gear from the factory which substantially increases the engine response and driving enjoyment. You can convert the standard car to an RS drivetrain by changing the above mentioned items essentially giving you an RS in a sheep's narrow body clothing.

You can also get your basic details from the Wiki article on the GT3 more generally.
I gather you're not asking about subjective impressions of the differences (or maybe you are?), which is what you're inevitably about to get. I asked a variant of that specific question a while back - https://rennlist.com/forums/997-gt2-...rs-or-2-a.html
Don't study the "standard" 7.1 and .2 to extrapolate. Different cars.
